Red tailed hawk having a snack on campus

I've seen a lot of strange things in my time on Virginia Tech's campus, but today ranks up there with the best of them. I was biking around the drill field when I noticed a good sized hawk with something dragging her down, a recent grab. Two students almost got smacked in the back of the head by the dangling squirrel, and up on a limb she flew to have her meal. She later hid next to a shrub right next to the Chapel to finish it off. I wish I had my dslr, but happy I was just able to witness this and fire off a couple shots with my point n shoot.

Some people probably wondered what I was doing sneaking around in the bushes, quite a few people walked by never noticing a thing.
